Α1: The learner can interact in a simple way, provided the other person talks slowly and is willing to help. He/ She can understand and use very basic phrases for giving personal details and for satisfying needs of concrete type.

A2: The student acquires a basic vocabulary of 700 words, can express him/ herself in simple, familiar and routine tasks and in areas of immediate need. He/ She is encouraged to use available materials for independent learning.

B1: The learner can understand the main points of clear standard input on situations regularly encountered and can produce simple connected texts on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.  

B2: The learner extends and masters on the already acquired knowledge. At this level he/ she develops language and communicative awareness and can cope with different language functions with a degree of  fluency that makes interaction with native speakers regular. 

Proficient

C1: The learner can use well-structured language flexibly and fluently without much effort for social, academic and professional purposes.

C2: The learner is exposed to more aesthetic uses of language and as much authentic material as possible for language learning. He/ She can understand easily almost everything read or heard, can express him/  herself precisely and can differentiate finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.
